Powder blue isn't usually a colour I'd go for but when I spotted it, I couldn't resist! Since it's a nice pastel shade, it's actually neutral enough to go with a lot more colours than I imagined, so I definitely think I'll get my wear out of it. It was just one of those pieces that instantly catches your eye. Although I bought it a few weeks back, with all the rain and rubbish weather, I feel as though I've not had that much chance to wear it. It's got such a lovely fluffy texture, I've been put off wearing it in the rain for fear of ending up looking like a drowned rat. And since it's so pale, it's not really the kind of coat I want to throw on to go to the pub.
I imagine (since none has arrived yet this year), it's the perfect coat for snowy days. But then again, since it's not actually got buttons, it's maybe a little impractical for wintery weather. The mohair more than makes up for it though and it's definitely one of the cosiest coats I've bought in a long time. It's just the right thickness to be ridiculously warm but luxuriously soft. When I'm wearing it, it feels like I'm wandering around in a dressing gown. I'm bundling myself up in it again today for a festive trip to Malmaison for afternoon tea with my mam. How are you spending your Christmas Eve?
