I first heard about The Cambridge Satchel Company through my very stylish friend, Anna, and my Mam ordered me one for Christmas a couple of years ago. It was kind of a spur of the moment present and was ordered at the beginning of December so cutting it quite close (for an already busy time of year). Each bag is handmade so when Julie got the order, she promised it would be in time for Christmas.. despite it being ordered with only a few weeks notice. As I'm sure you know, they come in all kinds of colours and sizes but my Mam opted for a large tan one for me embossed with my initials HL. When it came it was beautifully wrapped up with a handwritten gift tag wishing me a Merry Christmas. The little details are what make Julie such a brilliant business woman, and I think you can really see how much of her heart and soul she puts into her business. Since it's still a little way off, I won't start getting excited telling you all to order one for Christmas, but I will say that a personalised satchel makes a very thoughtful present.
As you will already have see on older posts, the bag is very easy to wear. I love how versatile a satchel is and it genuinely does go with anything! Plus it's pretty practical as bags go. Sometimes (a lot of the time), good old fashioned classics things are the best. I've got my eyes on one of the teeny 11" red satchels next!

ReplyDeleteI'm in my final year studying fashion promotion student and have chosen to base one of my projects on the Cambridge Satchel Company, I was wondering considering your interest in the brand if you would be ever so kind as to fill out my survey in relation to the brand?
