Earlier in the week I was invited to visit the
Metrocentre's new champagne bar,
Circle 36- bar, so after spending another morning working from home, I decided to take mammy L and my little brother Matty as a treat. The bar itself is located in the platinum mall, not far from the Odeon cinema, and is made up of a steel bar surrounded by cream leather stools and booths. We sat down in a booth and immediately were greeted by the very friendly assistant manager, Craig. He took our drinks orders while another member of staff, Ross, entertained us with magic tricks! Since Matty is only 16, he ordered a non-alcoholic pina colada and me and my mam enjoyed a glass of Pommery rose champagne, decorated with a raspberry (very appropriate). The bar hasn't been open long so there's a few offers on at the moment where you can get champagne and cupcake for £4.95 or coffee and a cupcake for £2.50. After the champagne (and tempted by the flyers promoting the offer) we decided to treat ourselves to a coffee and a cupcake. They're handmade by a local chef and were bloody massive with a thick layer of buttercream topping. I'd definitely recommend the lemon ones.
Champagne, cupcakes and card tricks: such an elegant way to spend an afternoon, (as
Andrew pointed out on twitter!)
jacket: Primark, top and skirt: Topshop
looks like fun!
