My favourite piece of the night was the installation by Tracey Emin, a single phrase scrawled in blue neon lighting on the side of a church: 'be faithful to your dreams'. I didn't get any great shots of it but you can see it here. From the giant snow-globe in Market Square to the light show that was projected onto Durham Cathedral, the Lumiere was a beautifully tongue-in-cheek spectacle.
That's so pretty x
ReplyDeleteOh the rings I sell at school are the same as a big blogger, hence why I don't sell them on my online shop, I bought a load before I knew her blog or her shop but now I wouldn't be comfortable selling the same as her online, I wear some in all my posts.x
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and festive!

The Lumiere event looks amazing. I took a look at it on Friday but Durham was really busy and it kind of put me off. I didn't realise that the lights were all around the city though, I thought it was just that giant snowglobe in the centre which people went to see! I'm glad you found some of the posts I shared on Sunday inspiring :).
