Afternoon Tea

My little mam had been saying for ages and ages how she wanted to go out for afternoon tea, and last week as a nice little treat we decided to head to Beamish Hall. How posh?

Cue: hundreds of cups of tea, lots of cute egg mayo sarnies, scones with cream and jam, and far too many cakes

Followed by a nice little wander around the grounds in the sunshine.

  3. I'm not exaggerating one bit when I say this, but, afternoon tea is one of the highlights of my life. Nothing beats it. And I desperately wish we had more tea shops here in California!
