Now I have to admit I don't really spend that much time in Sunderland. Usually there's so much going on in town that I always find myself in Newcastle - and of course my work is based in Newcastle, so I'm there everyday regardless. But with the clocks going back, the nights getting darker and the wintery weather creeping in, there's nothing I love more than light installations. Those of you who have read Raspberry Kitsh for a while will know how much I loved Durham's Lumiere back in 2011 (and I can't wait for its return this year!). There's something about wintery illuminations that make the dark nights seem nicer and start to get me all excited for Christmas. After their huge success last year, Roker Park lights have been back with an Alice in Wonderland theme and this weekend is the last chance you'll get to see them. So if like me, you're staying local this weekend, at least you'll have something pretty to look at.
