velvet underground

So last night we were all at HARD TO LOVE at World HQ and also celebrating the lovely A's birthday, and J was sporting this little velvet number...

Not the best quality pic but I love the jumpsuit and I couldn't believe it when she revealed it was from New Look!
After lusting after Emma Cook's velvet trousers for so long I'm debating buying the jumpsuit and just turning it into trousers...

Anyway......this evening i've been feeling a bit manic....running around trying to get sorted for a shoot tomorrow for the courier....first one of this academic year so hopefully all will go smoothly....its been a very quickly put together though so we're hoping for the best!

Also I've just started volunteering for READ international. for those of you who don't know, its a charity who work along with students to donate books and raise money to buy new books for schools in Tanzania. Its a very good cause and being an english student I know how important books are, especially for children. We're having a bakesale tomorrow outside Newcastle University's union (stop by if you're in the Toon!) so i've been busy baking cakes all night :) and now i'm going back to my reading...

mildly irritating

I seriously do not get where some people get their energy from.
It really must take a lot of effort.
I have no patience for you.

Rant aside
I am really in love with this.....

But two issues:
1. Can I justify spending this much (when I probably can't use the old "it will last forever and it will never go out of style" line -which I used to get my bayswater- in connection with an electric blue bag)
2. Is it likely that this may be reduced at some point since its not one of the "icons"??

Hmmmm things to think about.

On another note
I saw such a lovely film at Tyneside Cinema last night. Its called The First Movie

It was really refreshing to see a representation of Iraq as a country, which did not immediately conjure images of warfare and hatred. If you get the chance to see it I really recommend it. The director Mark Cousins was also there and had a little chat about making the film which was nice. he seemed so excited that there were so many people at the screening too which was cute.

Also- I have some v cute pics to share soon from a little trip me and some of the girlies (and Ria's pal william) took to Beamish. More on that soon I promise...for now I need to get back to Delbo and I can assure you it is not light reading......

Ah and another thing....I betrayed Ms Quick and stepped out in tights for the first time this year...(well that's sort of a lie because i wore a pair to Tyneside cinema last night) but it was freezing in the Toon today so who can blame me?

P.s. thanks to Regan for my award. its very sweet of you!

quick catch-up

Back to uni, back to stress....well sort of. I've been having loads of fun, getting into too much trouble and generally having a good time catching up with everyone. Blogging kind of got neglected in favour of reading and going out...never mind.

Just a quick one to say hello again and that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth

Also I deleted lookbook....I'm a bad enough blogger without involving myself with any more technology and I didn't feel like I had the time or energy from it, never mind.

I miss summer already

liverpoolcol

These were taken on my little trip to Liverpool to visit Rach on the fake beach

me: everything is sadly Topshop....how original!
rach: jumpsuit: Topshop, cardi: Zara

And I am very bitter that already I have had to turn to my trusty long socks....still holding back from the tights....but the city is definitely getting chilly
