Went for the trusty KG black heels instead :)
Me and a couple of the ladies went for tapas at El Coto in newcastle, then straight to The End to watch my mate's boyfriend's band The Catchpennies, ending the night in The Cut. My toes have never been so cold in all their lives! On the plus side I have a new found love for chorizo! Mmmmm :) we ordered far too much food in El Coto though for three people...

We had our first snow fall here today! I love it but the cold is making me want to laze about all day with a hot chocolate (with cream and marshmallows and hundreds and thousands on top) and watch White Christmas! Unfortunately I have to brave the arctic conditions and trek to Newcastle with the madre to get some last minute bits and pieces. Also possibly stop off at the library....argh uni work stress :( It has also come to my attention that I have NO warm clothes, canny ridiculous really considering I live in the north east of england.... well I'll brave the cold in cosy leggings and my white jumper...hopefully if I add a fur coat I might be able to keep the cold out??

auld reekie adventures

Went for a little visit to Edinburgh with Amy to do some christmas shopping....sadly I bought more for me than anyone else! Spent the full day there and got home a few hours ago (Edinburgh is only about 1 hr 30mins away from Durham or Newcastle by train) so I'm starting to feel sleepy now! Had such a fun day even though it was literally FREEZING!!! To think that I thought Newcastle was getting chilly.....brrrr. Pottered about all day: shopping, eating, visited the museum of childhood, then more shopping then went for a little drink before it was time to come home :)

holidays are coming....

Family trip to York yesterday for the festival of angels.
York is such a nice city and I couldn't help feel christmassy when I got there! :)
Spent the day wandering around the city, stocking up on christmas pressies, eating roasted chestnuts, sampling the food at the christmas market and looking at the ice sculptures. It was really cold too and I had to love the fake snow (which were bubbles!) pumped out of a little machine on random buildings.
Then I've been Christmas tree shopping today! Spent hours...much like that O.C episode....wandering around, searching for the perfect one! Finally got it home and decorated and now the house is filled with that gorgeous familiar Christmas tree smell. Its left me feeling so festive!






These felt hats were handmade from Nepal. They remind me so much of Cabbage Patch dolls!
